Single Vehicle Accident Tuesday
A pickup truck driven by a teenager from Sand Rock apparently went out of control and then went over a guardrail before going down a 250 foot embankment Tuesday afternoon. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape without injury.
The Leesburg Police received the call about 4:30 and responded. According to Chief Jamie Chatman, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado walked away from the crash without injury. The driver was a juvenile male and his name will not be released.
The accident occurred on highway 68 West of Leesburg, about halfway up the mountain.
