The latest Law Enforcement Officer Spotlight is on – Deputy Rex Leath.  “As a law enforcement officer I’m happy to be able to use my authority to make people feel safe where they live.  I want to participate in criminal rehabilitation programs to help people turn their lives around – and become active members of society once again.

One of the most rewarding, and satisfying aspects of being a law enforcement official is having the unique opportunity to help to  people get out of a bad situation, get back on their feet – and to ultimately turn their lives around.  Millions of acts of kindness are committed each year by law enforcement officers.

The best advice I’ve ever received is to be kind to people – treat people as you would like to be treated.

Be a good citizen, treating everyone with respect no matter who they are or where they come from.  

Remember how you treat others reflects the kind of society that you were brought up in.  If you don’t know how to respect other people’s culture, beliefs, and traditions, then what does that say about our country?”
