Ribbon Cutting for New Animal Habitat At Noccalula Falls Park

Two years ago the barn at the Petting Zoo caught fire and burned down. Since then, the petting zoo continued to be a major attraction but did not have the barn to provide services for the patron. Park Manager, Christina Richardson, Mayor Craig Ford, City Council Members, Building Contractors, and many other officials broke ground Thursday on A New, Larger, animal Habitat.

Mayor Ford said this facility will be larger than the previous barn and will provide the Park employees the opportunity to provide more services for Patrons. Also, the Mayor announced the Park had obtained a second kangaroo and was looking for monkeys to add to the Park’s Animal Kingdom.

Both Mayor Ford and Manager Richardson indicated more additions to the Park will be forthcoming.
