Two Charged With Animal Cruelty In Rome
A 40-year-old Rome man has been charged with a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals in a case that also involved the arrest of a Rome woman.
According to the arrest warrant: Michael Vernon Davis failed to get immediate veterinary care for her dog which suffered from a fracture of the right femur. The leg was rendered useless and disfigured from the injury, requiring amputation.
Davis is the second person to be arrested in this case.
36-year-old Jennifer Dawn Heath was charged with aggravated animal cruelty earlier in the week.
