Three people were hurt in a three vehicle accident, taking place  Sunday afternoon in Etowah County.

According to the Alabama State Troopers Post – the wreck  took place on Highway 278 at 4:10pm – and it involved a 2022 Lexus and the driver of the vehicle – listed as a female from Altoona – was unhurt; A 2014 Jeep that was being driven by a female from Ripley, Tennessee was also involved – and fortunately the driver was also unhurt; and a third vehicle, which was listed as a 2008 Cadillac, was involved, with the driver, who was identified as an Altoona woman – and two passengers being listed as hurt in the mishap.

No additional information was immediately available regarding the extent of their injures,

That wreck is under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
