GADSDEN POST – A two-vehicle crash at approximately 4:55 p.m. Friday,
June 23, has claimed the life of a Piedmont woman.
Brenda A. Ferguson, 68, was fatally injured when the 2021 Lexus RX 350 she was driving was
struck by a 2006 Mack tractor-trailer driven by Dylan Sorter, 35, of
Guntersville. Ferguson was pronounced deceased at the scene of the
crash, which occurred on U.S. 411 near the 255 mile marker,
approximately ten miles south of Alexis, in Cherokee County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement
Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
