Man With Warrant Drives To Store And Gets Arrested

A man with an existing warrant was arrested on Monday at a convenience store in Lyerly, Georgia.

According to reports from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy saw 30-year-old Cody Wayne Aycock pulling into the parking lot of BJ’s Food Mart and had prior knowledge that the subject had an outstanding warrant.

When the deputy approached him, Aycock told the deputy that he had “just drove to the store”, but the deputy informed Aycock of the felony warrant and arrested him.

Aycock was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of driving without a valid license, expired tag, probation violation and the outstanding warrant.
