Parole Denied for Tol Shelby Shropshire

The Alabama Parole Board voted unanimously early Thursday morning to deny parole for Tol Shelby Shropshire serving a Life sentence for the 2005 Murder of Allen Scott.

In a note from District Attorney Summer Summerford, she said:

“It was an honor to speak in opposition of parole, and the Board also voted UNANIMOUSLY to schedule the next hearing for the maximum length of time allowed by law – which is 5 years.  As long as I am DA, I will continue to fight this MURDERER being released from prison. Thank you to the family, representatives from VOCAL, and the Attorney General’s Office who also spoke and attended in opposition of parole.”
