Trion Man Charged With Attacking EMS Employees In Ambulance

A 26-old Trion, Georgia resident was arrested on the way to the hospital in an ambulance recently

Floyd County Police stated that Homer Alexander Williams III was in the process of being transported by Atrium Health Floyd paramedics when he removed his restraints, then attempted to jump out of the ambulance.

Reports state Williams then allegedly grabbed a paramedic and forced the paramedic onto the stretcher in the ambulance. 

Williams was charged with battery – and also with interference with emergency medical personnel.
