Man Shot In Garden Lakes Sunday Evening
A Rome, Georgia man remains in jail without bond following a shooting on Tyler Street at Garden Lakes Boulevard just before midnight Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 30-year-old Mark Paul Dawson Sr. shot a man in his lower extremities, resulting in the victim requiring surgery. Dawson was also found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking device.
He stands charged with aggravated assault, pointing or aiming a firearm at another, the possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of methamphetamine, and the possession of drug-related objects.
