Mr. Lathan Forrest Lancaster

Mr. Lathan Forrest Lancaster, age 92 of Centre passed away Saturday, June 10th.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 14th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jenkins officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include John Money, Stan Reynolds, Wade Usry, Tim Shannon, Ken Rouse and Shane Hardin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Ford, Jim Clonte, James Johnson and former employees of Lancaster Pool Company.

Survivors include nieces, Connie Conway (Wally), Freda L. Shannon; nephews, Tim Shannon, Bobby Klimek, Stace Hardin (Charolette), Shane Hardin (April); several great nieces, nephews and cousins; adopted son, Ken Rouse.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lynn Lancaster; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Lancaster; sisters, Carol Lancaster Klimek, Annette Hardin Head and his parents, Frank and Annie Prater Lancaster.

Latha served his country in combat duty in the Korean War (1951-1953) Army Reserve (1953-1957). He retired from Goodyear Tire &Rubber Co. and was owner of Lancaster Construction Co. (Pools).  He was an outdoors man, enjoyed nature, deer hunting and Fishing,  He was member and trustee of Slackland Baptist Church since 1959.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Slackland Baptist Church.
