Floyd County Police Investigating Fatal Wreck

The Memorial Holiday travel period has claimed the life of a 43-year-old Rome, Georgia man.

The Rome News-Tribune reported that Jason Samuel Johnson died after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on the connector near Kingston Highway at around 9:00am Saturday.

Fatal wrecks were also investigated by the Paulding County, Villa Rica, Newnan, Hazelhurst, Monroe, Colquitt, Tifton, and Dublin posts of the Georgia State Patrol.

Other fatal wrecks there were worked by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, Gwinnett County Police, the Cherokee County (Georgia) Sheriff’s Office, the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office, and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
