Mr. Harry M. Anderson, age 86, Mt. Weisner community, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 23, 2023, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, May 28th at Cottage Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Anderson officiating, burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service at the church.
He was born on April 14, 1937, in Sulligent Alabama, and is preceded in death by his parents Grafton and Argene Anderson, and his siblings, James Anderson, Jerry Anderson, Kenneth ”Corky”Anderson, and Mildred ”Micky” Tribble, and one great-grandson Andrew Skinner.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Jeanne
Anderson; his children, Leah (Scott) Davis of Mt. Weisner community, Harry (Beth) Anderson, Jr. of Montevallo, and Brian(Catherine) Anderson of Dallas, TX. Also surviving are his nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren
Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the United States Air Force and
served from the years 1955-1959. He worked for over forty years for the Ford Motor Company and has lived in multiple states due to his work. He was also an avid arrowhead hunter, fisherman, and lover of Alabama Football. Mr. Anderson was deeply loved and cherished by his family and all who knew him.
Pallbearers are JT Turner, Casey Youngblood, Tyler Snow, Colby Nelson,Scott Davis, and Robert Rester.
