Summerville Georgia Man Carried To Jail After Wreck

Jackson Lowenburg, of a Summerville, Georgia address was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center early today on charges of driving while intoxicated and attempting to elude officers.

According to Sheriff Shaver, Cherokee County Officer, Corporal Smith, observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the Cloudland community and made an attempt to stop it. The driver sped away and while trying to negotiate a curve on county road 72 crashed his vehicle.

EMS was called to the scene, Lowenburg was checked out and released to the Sheriff’s Office. He was then transported to the County Detention Center.

He was released on bond just before 11 am today.
