New Magazine Article on Late Summerville, Georgia Attorney, Bobby Lee Cook

An online military magazine has a featured article about the “real-life Matlock”, the late Chattooga County attorney, Bobby Lee Cook.  Mr. Cook, a veteran of the United States Navy and native of Chattoogaville, was the inspiration for the long-running CBS series “Matlock” that stared North Carolina native and television legend, Andy Griffith.

The article talks about CBS Television’s decision to reboot the Matlock legal drama, but focuses much of its attention to the life and career of Bobby Lee Cook.  Mr. Cook once told WZQZ News that he never had the opportunity to talk with Andy Griffith about the television series, but that he did watch the show.

CBS says that the new Matlock series will feature Kathy Bates as an attorney who just happens to have the same last name of the “old TV show”.
