Two Killed, Four Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Friday Evening in Cherokee County

Two people were fatally injured, and four others were hurt, in a two-vehicle wreck in Cherokee County on Friday evening. 

According to Alabama State Trooper reports that wreck took place on U.S. 411 – near County Road 225 at 6:56pm and involved a 2009 Toyota Corolla and also a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

One person – a 12 year old male – was fatally injured and another hurt in the Corolla, with a 75 year old male being fatally injured – and three others hurt, in the Jeep that was involved in the accident.

All four of those hurt, were transported to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, for treatment following the collision.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers – and we’ll have additional information as it becomes available
