From The City of Gadsden, Section of South 11th Street to Close for Continued Road Work

Gadsden, AL – Beginning Wednesday, May 17, 2023, South 11th Street will be closed to thru traffic from Randall Street to Black Creek Parkway.  The section of road is being closed as utility work has been completed and reconstruction is set to begin.

Drivers traveling through the area should use Randall Street, Hickory Street and Central Avenue as a detour, while alternate routes will be available for local traffic.Drivers should use caution when traveling through residential neighborhoods and construction areas.

The rebuilding and repaving of the roadway will continue throughout the summer, and further updates regarding the detour will be given as the project progresses
