Mrs. Georgia Ann Grimes, age 81 of Centre passed away Thursday, May 11th at Cherokee County Health and Rehab.
Graveside services will be 11 AM Monday, May 15th at Cherokee Memory Gardens Bro. Eddie Nation and Bro. Eugene Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Sunday, May 14th at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Jake Minnix, Hudson Grimes, Preston Grimes and Dane Hays.
Survivors include son, Kevin (Beth) Grimes; daughter, Gina (Tommy) Minnix; brother, Paul (Fleda) Aaron; grandchildren, Amanda (Dane) Hays, Jake (Meagen) Minnix, Hudson (Bri Adams) Grimes, Preston (Maddy) Grimes; 4 great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Carole Powell and Barbara Ryan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Merle Grimes and brother, Mitchell Aaron.
Ms. Grimes was a native of Atlanta, GA, was the daughter of the late Leo Cornelius and Virginia Catherine Aaron and was a longtime member of Centre First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Centre First Baptist Church Building Fund.
