The State Board Of Education adopted a Resolution recognizing several schools and school systems across the state who met the conditions for the Legislative School Performance Program Award.
In the Cherokee County School System, Centre Elementary School improved the overall school grade on the most recent Accountability Report Card by one letter grade.
Superintendent of Cherokee County Schools, Mike Welsh and Centre Elementary Principal Wes Neyman attended the State Board Meeting on Thursday for the and accepted the award on behalf of Centre Elementary.
Mr. Welsh said, “We are very proud of the faculty, staff, and students of CES for their improvement and this special recognition.”
