LINCOLN – On Saturday, the 7U Cherokee Raptors travel baseball team played in the USSSA May Match-Up tournament in Lincoln. During pool play, they
faced the Rock Creek Eagles from Bessemer. The Raptors earned a 19-4 victory.

In their second round of pool play games they faced the Seventeen Baseball Club from Springville. The Raptors suffered a loss 16-1. They were seeded in the sixth place which put them in the silver bracket with three other teams.

In their semifinal game, the Raptors faced off with the Rock Creek Eagles and held on for an 18-17 victory, sending them into the finals to face the Valley Boys from Alexandria. The Raptors won the Silver championship 19-11.

Coaches are Chad Gossett, Caleb Evens, Nick Reed, Casey Gossett and Nick Wheeler.
