Friday afternoon Floyd 9-1-1 dispatch received a report that a vehicle had flipped in an accident that occurred in front of the Good Sheppard Funeral Home located on Shorter Avenue.

First responders arrived in the area to find two vehicles involved; one tan Chevrolet Equinox with front-end damage on the left side of the outbound lane – and also one white Toyota 4runner that had flipped upside down in the funeral home parking lot.

Fortunately only minor injuries were reported by 9-1-1 dispatch and one person was transported by EMS from the scene.

Traffic in front of the funeral home was briefly directed over to the middle lane until the Equinox could be removed from the roadway.
