A 40-year-old man has died following a weekend crash in Talladega County.
Alabama State Troopers on Thursday identified the fatality victim as Brentavies L. Marizette.
Marizette was critically injured at 2:27 p.m. Saturday when the GMC Envoy he was driving was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado. The wreck happened on Jackson Trace Road, about five miles north of Talladega, said Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal.
Marizette was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he was pronounced dead on Tuesday. Two other passengers in Marizette’s vehicle – Amber Marizette, 33, and Travoris Wallace, 32 – were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the Silverado, 44-year-old Michael Denton, was not injured.
