Jadyn Foster earns three wins in the circle to lead Sand Rock in Hokes Bluff Softball Tournament

CENTRE – Jadyn Foster picked up three wins on Saturday, helping the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats defeat Weaver 3-2, Lincoln 9-2, and Ashville 10-0 in the Hokes Bluff Softball Tournament at the Centre Softball Complex on Saturday.

In the win over Weaver, Foster gave up two unearned runs on three hits with no walks and 12 strikeouts in six innings. She also walked twice at the plate and scored a run.

Katelyn StClair doubled. Emma Sipsy and Aliyah King both had a hit and drove in a run. Lacey Barnette finished with a hit. Sherina Foster walked three times and scored twice.

Against Lincoln, Jadyn Foster tossed four innings of one-hit ball. She finished with nine strikeouts. Sipsy worked an inning and gave up two unearned runs on no hits with a pair of walks.

King and Peyton Johnson both contributed a hit, a run and two RBIs. Sipsy and StClair both managed a hit and scored two runs. Sipsy also had a RBI. Bailey Kilgore and Briley Knight both came away with a hit and a RBI. Sherina and Jadyn Foster both walked and scored a run. Barnette also scored a run.

Jadyn Foster tossed a one-hitter against Ashville with seven strikeouts. She also tripled at the plate, scored twice and drove in a run.

Sipsy had a pair of hits, including a double, with a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Kilgore went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Barnette finished with a hit, a run and a RBI.

StClair walked and scored twice. Johnson, Sherina Foster and Molly Lay each earned a walk and scored a run. Johnson also drove in a run. King walked twice.

Sand Rock hosts the Class 2A, Area 11 tournament beginning on Monday. The Lady Wildcats open tournament play against Gaston at 4:30 p.m.
