The Old Kmart Building Has Sold
Mayor Mark Mansfield told the City Council this week the Old Kmart building has sold. It was closed out two weeks ago. The new owner is Larry Martin, a Real Estate Developer from Rome. He has already begun cleaning up with renovation to begin immediately. Mayor Mansfield said he did not know of any tenant for the property at this time but is hopeful a new retail outlet will soon be in that location.
He said that is good news for the City as it continues to grow.
