Mrs. Tawana Michelle Downey age 52 of Centre passed away Tuesday April 25th at Atrium Floyd Cherokee Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, April 28th, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 9 with Bro. Josh Bryant officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10AM until 10:45AM Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Survivors include husband, Donnie Downey; sons, Dakota McClain, Austin McClain, Cameron Lee Smith and Steven Ray Downey; daughter, Christy Lynn Downey; mother, Brenda Dorsett Thompson; brothers, William Ralph Thompson, Jr., Elmore Paul Thompson, William Scott Thompson and Buddy Joe Thompson; sister, Jodi sue Thompson; grandchildren, Isaac McClain, Skylar Jean McClain, Anthony Downey, Braden McCowan and Sierra Downey; 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, William McGowan; sisters,
Christy Leann Dorsett and Belinda Gail Thompson.  Mrs. Downey was a native of Alabama.
