FORT PAYNE – Emma Hill went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and a RBI and Lanie Williams collected a home run, a double and three RBIs to lead the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 5-2 softball win at Fort Payne on Tuesday.
Macy Lea doubled and Abby Lea added a single for the Lady Warriors.
Abby Lea also picked up the win in the circle. She went the distance, giving up two earned runs on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
The Lady Warriors scored a pair of runs in the top of the fourth and two more in the sixth. They added an insurance run in the seventh. Fort Payne scored its lone runs in the sixth and seventh innings.
