Cedar Bluff softball blanks Fyffe

FYFFE – Natalie Baty tossed a one-hitter at Fyffe Thursday. She allowed only a walk and struck out eight in the Class 1A, No. 4 Lady Tigers’ 15-0 softball victory in five innings.

Baty was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBIs.

Kylie Vadon and Harlie Nelson led the Lady Tigers (14-14) at the plate with three hits. Vadon homered, scored two runs and had three RBIs. Nelson had a walk, two runs and a RBI.

Haley Allen added a pair of hits and four RBIs. Mattie Payne posted a pair of hits, including a double, with a pair of runs and a RBI.

Reece Patterson homered. She also had two walks, two runs and two RBIs. Ciana Smith collected a hit, three runs and two RBIs. Za’Niya Kyle walked twice and scored a run. Rylie Walker walked and scored a run.

Cedar Bluff scored at least one run in every inning, capped off with a seven-run fifth for the final.
