“Most Wanted” Suspect Jeremy Crane of Cedar Bluff Caught

A Cedar Bluff resident, who has been the recent subject of one of the “Most Wanted” listings by the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, has been arrested.

Jeremy “Pee Wee” Crane of a County Road 585 address has been on the run for over a week, since he fled the scene on foot after using his vehicle to attempt to run down a county deputy.  Fortunately, the deputy received only minor injuries.

According to the report, after striking the deputy, Crane then drove his vehicle into a wooded area, where he abandoned it.  The incident took place after law enforcement responded to 9-1-1 call for a domestic altercation.

Crane was wanted on charges of Assault 2nd Degree.

He was booked into the Cherokee County Jail on Tuesday at 2:32 and was released on bond at 2:47pm.
