Warriors win third straight baseball game with shutout of DAR

Carson Tittle and Malachi Horton combined for a 12-0 shutout of DAR in area baseball action on Thursday. It was the Warriors’ third win in a row.

Tittle and Connor Wilson each had three hits to lead the Warriors. One of Wilson’s hits was a home run. Tittle had a double.

Tittle earned the win on the mound. He allowed just two hits over five innings with no walks and seven strikeouts.

The Warriors also defeated DAR on Tuesday 15-3 and Jacksonville 10-4 on Monday.

Against Jacksonville, Wilson earned the win after tossing a one-hitter over three innings with no walks and two strikeouts. He also homered at the plate in the fifth inning.

The Warriors scored six runs in the second inning to take control. Horton, Tittle, Wilson, Luke Young and Parker Wilson all drove in runs in the inning.

Beck McKinney went 3-for-4 at the plate. Tittle, Connor Wilson and Young all managed multiple hits.

Cherokee County is scheduled to play at Hokes Bluff on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
