SPRING GARDEN – Avery Steward delivered a pair of hits, including a triple, with a walk, two runs and a RBI. She also tossed a one-hitter with two walks and seven strikeouts in leading the Spring Garden Lady Panthers to a 10-0 softball win in five innings over visiting Jacksonville Christian on senior night Thursday.
Lilly McCain and Madi Ham both tripled and drove in a run for the Lady Panthers (10-10). Ham also scored twice. Maggie Reedy contributed a hit, a walk and a run. Addie Word added a hit and two runs. Maggie Jarrett had a hit. Kayley Kirk finished with two walks, a run and two RBIs.
Spring Garden travels to Ragland on Monday at 5 p.m.
