PIEDMONT – The Piedmont Lady Bulldogs blanked Saks 12-0 in five innings in area softball action on Wednesday.
Jaycee Glover led Piedmont at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs. Cacey Brothers was also 2-for-3 with a run and four RBIs. Jenna Calvert went 2-for-3 with a double two RBIs.
Armoni Perry doubled, scored a run and drove in another. Emma Grace Todd also doubled and drove in a run. Savannah Smith had a hit and scored three runs. Cayla Brothers also posted a hit with a run and a RBI. Cadence Buttram scored a pair of runs.
Todd took the win after working 2 2/3 innings of no-hit ball with four strikeouts. Carson Young tossed 2 1/3 innings and gave up three hits with a strikeout.
