This week’s Spotlight is on Lt. Nick Vaughn
“I started my law enforcement career in 2003 working in the jail where I reached the rank of sergeant; in 2007 I went on to work for Rome Police Department where I was a patrol officer, and attended the police academy in Dalton, Georgia. In 2010 – I came back to work for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff – and I also attended the lateral transfer academy in Tuscaloosa.
Since being back at the Sheriff’s Office I have held the rank of Corporal, Sergeant, and currently Lieutenant of the patrol division.
I hold many certifications in various things – including Field Training Officer (FTO). I also head up the Lake Patrol Division of the Sheriff’s Office. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and watching my son and nephews play ball. “
Help us celebrate Lt. Nick Vaughn and show appreciation for all he does!
