Cherokee County Commission Meeting, Monday, April 10th

During this week’s meeting (April 10th, 2023) of the Cherokee County Commission, it was noted that John Holbrook is tendering his resignation from the Cherokee County Public Library Board; and it was announced that the appointment to fill his four-year term ending in February of 2024 will take place at the Monday, April 24th meeting.  A submittal of resumes and letters will be accepted through Wednesday, April 19th.

The Commission Members approved an agreement with Steve Martin Engineering & Surveying, Inc., for an updated topographic survey in an amount that is not to exceed $2,300.00 and also authorize the Chairman to sign.

Approve the agreement for Section 5311, Non-Urbanized Area Public Transportation with the East Alabama Regional Planning & Development Commission – with a local match of $35,800.00 and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Approve the agreement with WSP/USA Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. for the mandatory groundwater monitoring at the Old Leesburg Landfill for the year 2023 in the amount of $11,200.00

It was also agreed to approve attached amendments to the FY 2023 Budget.

The next meeting will be Monday, April 24th at 5:00pm.
