A motorcyclist was killed when authorities stated he tried to pass two tractor trailers by going in between them.
The crash happened at 12:01am Thursday on Interstate 59/20 near the Arkadelphia Road entrance ramp.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office the rider was going north when he drove between the two semis. Birmingham police told the coroner’s office that the motorcyclist struck one of the trucks and lost control.
He was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:10am – and his identity has not yet been released.
