COLLINSVILLE – Gaylesville won its first softball game of the season on Thursday, an 18-7 decision at Collinsville in five innings.
Mackenzie Kimmons earned the win for the Lady Trojans after pitching all five innings. She finished with seven strikeouts.
Jayden Dobbins led Gaylesville at the plate by going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs. Emma Givens also went 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Shonda Epps and Gracie Dawson had three hits apiece with four RBIs and two RBIs respectively.
Andreah Calvert, Sydney Smith, Sierra Holbrook, and Gracelynn Drake each had a pair of hits and a RBI.
Gaylesville travels to Woodville on Monday.
