WALNUT GROVE – EllaGrace Hood and Jadyn Foster combined for a three-hit shutout at West End on Tuesday, a 4-0 Sand Rock softball win.
Hood held the Lady Patriots hitless through three innings. She walked three and struck out five. Foster pitched four innings of three-hit ball with a walk and eight strikeouts for the Class 2A, No. 3 Lady Wildcats (22-6).
Hood also tripled, walked and scored a run at the plate. Sherina Foster doubled and scored a run. Katelyn StClair contributed a hit and drove in two runs. Lacey Barnette had a hit and scored a run. Briley Knight and Bailey Kilgore both finished with a hit. Emma Sipsy walked and scored a run.
Sand Rock jumped out to a 3-0 first-inning advantage and added a run in the fifth for the final.
