Cedar Bluff rallies for baseball doubleheader sweep at Pisgah

PISGAH – The Cedar Bluff Tigers rallied for a pair of baseball wins at Pisgah on Monday. The scored were 17-7 and 15-8.

In the first game, the Tigers fell behind 3-0 before chipping away. They put the game out of reach with a 10-run fourth inning.

Kaden Pack led Cedar Bluff with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with a double, a walk, three runs and five RBIs. Bryson Teague went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Bucky Leek posted a double, a walk and three runs. Eli McFry doubled, walked and scored a pair of runs.

Hunter Stallings was 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs and a RBI. Jacob Chambers also went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Alex Baty had a hit, two runs and a RBI. Samson Mallett managed a hit and a run. Isaac Bishop walked three times and scored a run. Hagen Stallings walked twice, scored a run and had a RBI.

Logan Hampton earned the win after working 4 1/3 innings. He gave no earned runs on two hits with three walks and a strikeout.

Cedar Bluff also rallied from a 4-0 first-inning deficit in game two and pulled away with eight runs in the top of the seventh.

Teague went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and two RBIs. He also earned the win after tossing six innings. He gave up four earned runs on seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

McFry went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and three RBIs. Chambers was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and a RBI. Pack and Leek were both 2-for-5 with a run. Pack also had a RBI.

Baty doubled, scored two runs and had two RBIs. Bishop also doubled, scored a run and had two RBIs. Hagen Stallings had a hit with a walk and a run. Hunter Stallings walked, scored two runs and had a RBI. Dylan McDaniel scored three runs and Caleb Tucker scored a run.
