Sand Rock posts fourth straight shutout in 10-0 softball win over Collinsville

SAND ROCK – At the rate the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats are going, their pitchers may never give up another run.

On Tuesday at home against rival Collinsville, the Lady Wildcats posted their fourth straight shutout, winning by the final of 10-0 in five innings.

During that four-game stretch, third-ranked Sand Rock (19-6) has outscored its opponents 41-0.

Jadyn Foster and EllaGrace Hood combined to toss a one-hitter. Foster earned the win after working four scoreless innings. She surrendered Collinsville’s lone hit – a double by Sophia Wills – with nine strikeouts. Hood tossed a hitless inning with a pair of strikeouts.

Emma Sipsy led the Lady Wildcats at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Bailey Kilgore contributed a pair of hits, including a double, with a run and a RBI. Lacey Barnette also added two hits, two runs and a RBI. Katelyn StClair collected two hits, a run and a RBI. Aliyah King came away with two hits and a RBI.

Sherina Foster and Briley Knight both had a hit, a run and a RBI. Hood walked twice and scored twice. Jadyn Foster finished with a RBI.

Sand Rock hosts Spring Garden on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
