Spring Garden softball takes area road win at Jacksonville Christian

JACKSONVILLE – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers scored four runs in the top of the third inning, five more in the fourth, and single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh to take a 12-3 area softball win at Jacksonville Christian on Monday.

Maggie Jarrett posted a pair of hits, including a home run. She also scored three runs. Kaley Kirk also contributed two hits, two walks, a run and a RBI. Madi Ham tripled, scored two runs and had a RBI. Lilly McCain managed a hit, a walk and two RBIs.

Avery Steward collected a hit, a walk and three RBIs.

Helena Ingram finished with a hit and scored a run.

Steward earned the complete-game win in the circle. She surrendered three earned runs on six hits with a walk and eight strikeouts.

Spring Garden hosts Hokes Bluff on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
