The City of Gadsden is planning a ribbon cutting for Phase II of the new Gadsden Sports Park.

* When: 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023
* Where: Gadsden Sports Park

The sports park is located down College Drive at Gadsden State Community College, and it’s currently listed on Google Maps as “Gadsden State Soccer Fields.”

This project is part of a long-term partnership between Gadsden State and the City of Gadsden. Phase II has been focused on rebuilding and improving baseball and softball fields at the location, along with an extensive renovation to the press box and concession stand.

Phase I was a large multipurpose athletic field and concession area that opened last year and has hosted numerous soccer tournaments since then. Phase III is currently in development and features a Champions Field, which will be accessible by people with disabilities.
