SPRING GARDEN – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers jumped out to a five-run lead at the end of the first inning, but couldn’t hold on against visiting Ragland in softball action on Monday. The Lady Panthers lost by the final of 12-8.

Helena and Layla Ingram led the Lady Panthers (0-3) at the plate with three hits apiece. Helena Ingram had a pair of triples. She also scored a run and drove in two. Layla Ingram tripled, scored two runs and drove in two more. Avery Steward and Madi Ham both a hit and scored two runs. Kayley Kirk walked twice and scored a run. Maggie Reedy walked twice. Timmi Scogin walked and drove in a run. Olivia Law finished with a walk.

Lilly McCain pitched three innings and Rylie Ham tossed four in the loss. They both gave up four earned runs. McCain struck out three and walked one. Rylie Ham had two walks and a strikeout.

Spring Garden is scheduled to host Faith Christian on Tuesday.
