Calvert collects four hits in Piedmont softball win at Saks

ANNISTON – Jenna Calvert collected four hits, scored three runs and drove in three more in leading the Piedmont Lady Bulldogs to an 18-3 softball win at Saks in five innings on Tuesday.

Savannah Smith added a pair of hits, including a double, with two runs and a RBI. Cacey Brothers doubled, scored a run and had three RBIs. Jaycee Glover also doubled and scored twice.

Cayla Brothers contributed a hit, a run and a RBI. Ava Pope posted a hit, two runs and two RBIs. Abby Baird managed a hit, a run and two RBIs.

Sarah Goss came away with a hit, two runs and a RBI. Armoni Perry had a hit and scored two runs. Emma Grace Todd finished with a hit and a run.

Carson Young picked up the win in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs. She tossed all five innings and surrendered just one earned run on four hits with no walks.

Piedmont is scheduled to host Wellborn on Thursday at 5 p.m.
