Man Arrested on Possession Charges after Sleeping in Front of Summerville Convenience Store

A Summerville, Georgia man was arrested recently after he was found to be sleeping in front of the Circle K convenience store on Commerce Street in Summerville.

Police say they responded to a call just after 4:00am and found the suspect sleeping.

When police woke the man, he told them that he had nowhere to go.  The store clerk said the suspect had attempted to buy beer earlier in the night.  While patting the suspect down, police found a glass pipe and suspected methamphetamine.

The suspect told police, “I know I’m going to jail”.  Thirty-five-year-old Eddie Vaughn was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on drug possession and the possession of drug-related object charges.
