Two Injured in Collision Saturday in Centre / UPDATED

Two people were taken for treatment following a two-vehicle wreck taking place late Saturday morning in Cherokee County.  According to the Centre Police Department, a 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup, and a 2006 Chevy Equinox, collided at around 11:00am on the Chesnut Bypass and Cedar Bluff Road near CVS.

Both the driver and a passenger in the Silverado pickup – a 62 year old male and a 68 year old female, both of Gaylesville, were transported by ambulance to Atrium/Floyd Hospital in Rome, Georgia, while the driver of the Equinox, a 26 year old female from Rockmart, Georgia, was reportedly unhurt.

That wreck remains under investigation
