Troopers Respond to Accidents in Cherokee County Over Weekend

A single vehicle accident about 3 miles north of Cedar Bluff on Al Highway 9 @2:20PM Saturday. Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville VFD, and Alabama State Troopers responded. No Injuries reported. The 2003 Infiniti left roadway striking a power pole resulting in low hanging wires over the roadway when an 18 wheeler come through snagging the low hanging power lines jerking them down across the roadway. It took Cherokee Electric Coop a while to do the repairs and get the wires off the roadway.

A single vehicle accident on Al hwy 278 6:45 AM Saturday. When Spring Garden VFD arrived on the scene, they did not find anyone around the 1997 Honda Accord. Apparently there were no injuries. The vehicle was off the roadway posing no additional traffic hazard. Alabama State Troopers Investigating.

The driver of a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle was injured when his vehicle struck a dog. The accident occurred at 2:17 pm Saturday on highway 278 at the 167 mile marker. Piedmont Rescue Squad transported the victim to Riverview Regional in Gadsden for treatment. Alabama State Troopers Investigated.

3 people were injured in a 2 vehicle collision in Etowah County on Saturday. The accident occurred at 1:18 PM on  US Highway 411. The Driver and passenger of a 2013 Honda were injured along with the driver of a 2021 Honda. All were transported for treatment. Alabama State Troopers Investigated.
