Meth Bust During Cloudland Traffic Stop

Recently, Dade County Sheriff’s Deputies seized over 63 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in the Head River area of Cloudland on Lookout Mountain.

Two arrests were made in connection with the seizure of those drugs.

The Dade County Sheriff’s Office says that is just one of many traffic stops which have resulted in the seizure of dangerous and illegal drugs.

Methamphetamine continues to be cheap to make and profits are high for those who manufacture the illegal drug.  Increasingly, the methamphetamine that is showing up in Georgia is coming from Mexican drug cartels.

According to a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman“Methamphetamine smuggling into the United States from Mexico is controlled primarily by the same major organizations which dominate the production/trafficking of other illicit drugs from Mexico into the United States”.
