An 18 wheeler and a pickup truck collided on highway 53 in Rome around 6:30am Wednesday causing the 18 wheeler to cross the median and flip on its side. Thankfully there were no injuries reported.

The 18 wheeler laying on its side impeded eastbound traffic for hours, with the accident only finally being cleared around 11:30am.
