COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Panthers are off to a 2-0 start to the baseball season following home wins against Crossville (17-1 in five innings on Monday) and Plainview (7-5 on Tuesday).
In the win over Crossville, Mason McAteer managed a pair of hits, a walk, three runs and two RBIs. He also earned the win after working two innings of hitless ball with no walks and five strikeouts.
Cooper Coker collected a pair of hits, a pair of walks, a pair of runs and a pair of RBIs. Jeremiah Killian contributed two hits, a walk and three RBIs. Jordan Coker homered with a run and two RBIs. Dawson Cothran and Will Edmondson both doubled, walked and scored a run. Keaton DeBoard delivered a hit and drove in three runs. Rajuess Rooks finished with a hit, a walk, a run and a RBI.
In Tuesday’s win over Plainview, McAteer went 4-for-5 with a pair of runs. Cothran was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run. Shaun Stewart also went 2-for-3 with a walk.
Killian doubled, walked twice and had two RBIs. DeBoard doubled and scored a run. Edmondson added a hit, two walks and a run. Gavin Lang had a hit with a run and a RBI.
Lang also earned the win on the mound after tossing three scoreless innings. He gave up three hits and a walk with six strikeouts.
Collinsville is scheduled to host Geraldine on Friday.
