Pisgah ends Sand Rock girls’ basketball season again in sub-regional, 93-67

SAND ROCK – For the third straight year, the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats met Pisgah in sub-regional basketball action. The past two years have been on the road, but Monday night the Lady Wildcats finally got the Lady Eagles at home.

Despite a 34-point outing by Katelyn StClair, including seven 3-pointers, Sand Rock fell by the final of 93-67.

StClair was also 7-of-7 from the free-throw line for the Lady Wildcats (18-14). She added seven rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Zoey Handy and Kennedy Henderson both scored seven points for Sand Rock. Handy also had 10 boards, three assists and a block. Henderson had eight rebounds and a pair of blocks. Jacey Stephens finished with five points, three rebounds and an assist.

Piper Anderson led four Lady Eagles in double figures with 23 points, including three 3-pointers. Campbell Barron collected 21 points. Jaley Keller connected on four treys and had 14 points. Paisley Patalas provided 12 points.

Madeline Flammia netted nine points. Kallie Tinker tallied seven points and Ashton Childress finished with six points for Pisgah.

Pisgah held a 19-17 edge after one, but blew the game open in the second quarter by outscoring the Lady Wildcats 35-19 to take a 54-36 lead into the locker room at halftime. Pisgah held a 71-47 lead after three quarters.
