Gaylesville boys outlast Victory Christian 80-75

PELL CITY – Kyler Bradley netted a game-high 35 points, including four 3-pointers, in leading the Gaylesville Trojans to an 80-75 basketball win at Victory Christian on Friday night. He also collected seven steals, four rebounds, four assists and a block.

Kuper Bradley added 23 points, including three treys, to go along with seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals for the Trojans. Tanner Eads tallied 12 points, eight boards, six steals and five assists. Collin Hendon had four points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Braden Sharp finished with eight rebounds, five steals and two points.

Jayden Hicks led five Lions in double figures with 16 points. Dontrell Wilson added 15 points. William Wilson-Huetes had 14 points. Pewton Scott and Caden Brunson both finished with 13 points.

Gaylesville gained a 16-10 advantage after one and held a 30-29 edge at halftime. The Trojans led 54-52 heading into a wild fourth quarter, in which Gaylesville outscored the Lions 26-23.

The Trojans host Coosa Christian to open the Class 1A, Area 12 boys basketball tournament on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
